All Bets Blackjack: main hands and optional wagers
All Bets Blackjack is a Playtech live-blackjack family in which the main hand can be accompanied by several optional side bets. The name is not an instruction to place every available wager. The useful comparison is the full amount committed, the event each chip covers and the rules of the precise table opened at a UK casino. Branded versions may present a different menu of side bets.
All Bets Blackjack or All Bets Blackjack Live?
The names are close, but they do not identify one universal ruleset. Betfair has separate product pages for All Bets Blackjack and Live All Bets Blackjack. Its digital table-game description mentions up to three hands, six decks, a Progressive side bet and a 10-Card Charlie. Its live-dealer description instead specifies eight decks and five side-bet types, including a pair wager rather than that Progressive bet. Do not carry the digital game’s hand, jackpot or side-bet rules over to a live table merely because both names contain “All Bets Blackjack”.
The operator’s published theoretical return is version-specific, too: Betfair lists 99.46% for the main wager on its live page, while its separate digital page shows 99.55% in the game heading. Neither figure describes every optional side bet or every differently branded table. Read the current in-game help and paytable for the exact title you open, especially if an operator’s short catalogue summary and detailed help disagree. Our RTP explainer explains why a theoretical long-run figure is not an individual-session forecast.
Before committing a stake, check whether there is a streamed dealer, which hand actions and deadlines apply, the number of decks, the available side bets and each separate paytable. If a promotion names this game, also check whether it means the digital or live version and whether side-bet stakes count. The product listing alone cannot answer the terms of a particular casino promotion.
One main hand, several independent bets
Playtech’s 2020 announcement of a branded All Bets Blackjack table describes scalable participation and gives examples of optional wagers: Dealer Goes Bust, Lucky Lucky, 21+3, Top 3 and Perfect Pairs. It explicitly says players can choose one, none, all or a selection. That historical branded table is evidence of the product concept, not proof that the same table or exact menu is available now.
A Betfred All Bets Blackjack listing describes six side-bet options in its own branded presentation. The difference is a reason to read the help screen of the version in front of you rather than publishing one supposedly universal count or paytable. We do not assert that the older branded table is still present at its launch partner.
| Wager layer | Typical question to ask | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Main blackjack hand | What are the dealer, blackjack, split and double rules? | They determine how the principal hand settles. |
| Pair-style side bet | Which player’s cards count and what counts as a pair? | It can settle separately from the main hand. |
| Three-card side bet | Which three cards form the qualifying combination? | Similar names can have different payout tables. |
| Dealer-event side bet | What exact dealer outcome qualifies? | A main-hand win does not guarantee this bet wins. |
Count every chip before you confirm
A hypothetical £2 main hand plus three 50p side bets totals £3.50 before any later double or split. Four such side bets would total £4. These are arithmetic examples, not actual limits or recommended stakes. The largest displayed multiplier is not the return on the whole round: only the qualifying chip receives its relevant payout, while other chips may lose.
Optional side bets cannot be assumed to share the main hand’s theoretical return. Do not treat them as insurance unless the exact help file explicitly makes that claim, and do not import a payout from another branded table. If you choose to play, compare the total-bet confirmation with a predetermined spending limit.
Resolve product, operator and offer separately
First verify the supplier and complete game title. Then read the current table’s rules for accepted wagers, dealer behaviour, action deadlines and interrupted play. Finally, check whether a casino offer permits this specific live table and whether side-bet stakes contribute. A supplier’s product announcement cannot establish the promotion terms of an operator today.
If a displayed result seems inconsistent, record the round ID, accepted main and side stakes, qualifying cards and account history. Ask the operator for the settlement explanation rather than assuming all chips follow the main hand. We have not played the game in a real-money account or established a current operator ranking for it.
