Pay by phone casinos UK
Pay by phone means charging a casino deposit to a mobile bill or using eligible prepaid phone credit. It does not simply mean visiting a casino on your phone. Before choosing this payment route, check whether the operator actually supports carrier billing, what the total charge will be and how you would withdraw.
Confirmed carrier-billing options
This comparison uses operator-specific payment evidence. Eligible entries appear alphabetically, not as a best-to-worst ranking. A familiar casino name, a mobile app or an Apple Pay logo is not evidence of phone-bill deposits.
No currently verified deposit methods are available for this comparison. This does not prove that no casino offers the method.
An empty comparison means our records do not currently establish an eligible option. It is not a claim that the method is unavailable everywhere. We do not fill gaps with casinos offering unrelated mobile payment methods.
Mobile payments are not all the same
Look at where the money comes from, rather than the device you use. Carrier billing charges your mobile account. A payment authenticated through a banking app or a digital wallet is a different arrangement. Ask the operator to identify the actual payment method if the cashier uses a broad label such as pay by mobile.
One concrete distinction: PlayOJO’s own phone-bill payment explainer, updated on 19 May 2026 and checked for this draft on 21 September 2026, explicitly says it does not offer pay-by-phone deposits. Its discussion of mobile payments must not be read as confirmation that it accepts carrier billing.
How to recognise a genuine phone-bill deposit
A mobile phone is the device; carrier billing is the source of funds. Ofcom explains that phone-paid services are charged to a phone bill or prepaid mobile credit. By contrast, selecting Apple Pay or another wallet on a phone does not, by itself, turn the payment into carrier billing. If you want the latter, look for a cashier option that explicitly describes a charge to your mobile account, then check who will appear as the biller.
- Before entering a phone number, confirm the casino names carrier billing as a deposit method for your account, network and tariff.
- Read the amount that will reach the casino balance and the full amount you will be charged. Save the displayed terms or confirmation.
- Authorise only the transaction and amount you recognise. Do not share a one-time code with a support agent.
- Check both the casino transaction history and the item on your mobile bill or prepaid balance. A confirmation message alone is not proof that the casino credited the deposit.
What does a phone-bill deposit really cost?
Compare credited amount with total phone charge, not just the minimum deposit advertised. For illustration only, if £10 reaches your casino account and a £2 fee is charged on top, your phone charge is £12: the fee is 20% of the credited amount. This is an arithmetic example, not a tariff quoted for any operator. If the fee is deducted instead, a £10 charge might credit less than £10. Ask which amount counts towards any minimum deposit before you authorise it.
Check costs and network restrictions first
Do not assume a limit or fee quoted for one casino applies elsewhere. Before authorising a payment, obtain answers to these questions:
- Is your network and your particular contract or prepaid plan supported?
- What amount reaches the casino balance, and what total amount is charged?
- Is the limit per transaction, per day, per month or specific to your account?
- Does the charge include a fixed fee, a percentage fee or both?
- Where can you see previous charges and prevent further payments?
These are checks to make, not promises about any provider. Treat an unanswered question as missing information, not as confirmation that there is no fee or restriction.
Plan the withdrawal route separately
Carrier billing is not a way to receive winnings back on your phone bill. Confirm the alternative payout method before making a deposit, including whose name it must be in, any verification requirements, withdrawal minimum and fees. Do not assume that a quick deposit means a quick withdrawal.
Ask whether a quoted withdrawal time starts when you request payment or only after the casino approves it. Keep the operator’s processing time separate from the time taken by the receiving payment provider. This page does not report personal deposit or withdrawal tests.
If a phone charge is missing or unrecognised
Keep the bill entry, amount, date, any short code or transaction reference, and the casino account history. Ofcom advises identifying the phone-paid service provider from the bill or asking your mobile network who supplied the service. Contact that provider about an unexplained charge or refund; contact the casino separately if the balance was not credited. Do not send passwords or one-time codes to either party.
Ask your network what spending controls or blocks are available if you want to prevent future phone-paid charges. Do not assume a general mobile bill cap covers every premium-rate service. For a disputed casino balance or withdrawal, use the operator’s complaints process; the Gambling Commission expects clear explanations when an operator delays or refuses a withdrawal.
Check the promotion independently
Payment acceptance and bonus eligibility are separate questions. Check the specific promotion’s excluded methods, qualifying deposit, qualifying play, expiry and treatment of winnings. A deposit that works at the cashier should not be assumed to qualify for an advertised offer.

How this comparison is maintained
Our casino comparison methodology explains how we handle evidence and missing information. A casino needs current, brand-specific support for carrier billing before it can enter this list. Unverified, expired or conflicting records are not recommendations, and a source about another brand does not establish acceptance here.
18+ only. Gambling involves financial risk. A phone-bill charge is still money spent, even if payment is collected later. Do not use a different payment route to get around a gambling block. Independent support is available from GamCare.
